The Walking Dead produced several hit spin-offs and the next one will center on two fan-favorite characters – Michonne and Rick Grimes. The release date of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is less than a month away, and AMC dropped the final trailer for this series.

According to AMC’s official logline, The Ones Who Live will chronicle the love story of Rick Grimes and Michonne, who were kept apart by distance and changed by a changed world.

“Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before?” reads AMC’s press release.

In addition to Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes and Danai Gurira as Michonne, this highly-anticipated series will also star Pollyanna McIntosh returning as Jadis Stokes, Terry O’Quinn as Beale, Matt Jeffries Matt as Nat, and Lesley-Ann Brandt as Pearl.

Gurira created the series alongside Scott M. Gimple, who also serves as a showrunner. They’ll both executive produce it alongside Lincoln, Denise Huth, and Brian Bockrath.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will premiere on February 25, and it’s expected to feature six episodes.
