Several actors departed And Just Like That… ahead of Season 3, but the show’s next chapter will feature a few new faces when it returns to Max. Rosie O’Donnell joined the next season of the S-x and the City sequel series, which recently kicked off production in New York.
O’Donnell announced the casting on social media, by sharing the photo of her script for the upcoming Season 3 premiere episode, titled “Outlook Good”. We know she’ll play a character named Mary, but not much is known about her role in the series at this point.
O’Donnell got her big break with her debut movie role in A League of Their Own during the ’80s, and she found success as an actress, comedian, and TV host in the years to come. She’s best known as the host of The Rosie O’Donnell Show, and we’ve recently seen her in The Fosters, SMILF, The L Word: Generation Q, and American Gigolo.
O’Donnell is joining Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Evan Handler, Mario Cantone, Sarita Choudhury, and Katerina Tannenbaum in the show’s third season. She’ll fill the void left by Karen Pittman and Sara Ramirez, who departed the series after Season 2.
