Everyone is coming back for the new season of American Idol — including Ryan Seacrest!
The talent competition was rebooted by ABC in 2018 following 15 seasons which ran on FOX between 2002 and 2016.
The show’s current judging panel consists of Katy Perry, Lionel Ritchie, and Luke Bryan.
All three of the singers have decided to reprise their roles for the forthcoming third season, and now it has been confirmed that Ryan will be joining them in the capacity as host.
“American Idol has been my home for 17 seasons and I can’t wait to return to the stage,” said Ryan. “It’s the greatest gift to be able to play a part in discovering new talent with a franchise that has been such a relevant part of American culture for so many years.”
In addition to his Idol duties, Ryan will continue to host his radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and Live with Ryan and Kelly.
