Samuel L. Jackson spent the past 15 years playing Nick Fury, and he’s showing no signs of stopping! He’ll return as this iconic MCU character in Secret Invasion, and Disney+ just dropped the first trailer for this mini-series.
Secret Invasion has been described as a “crossover event series” which “showcases a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.” To stop them from posing an even bigger threat to humanity, Fury must bring out the big guns and join forces with some of his former allies.
Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) are some of the familiar faces we’ll get to see in this series. Charlayne Woodard, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Killian Scott, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Dermot Mulroney also star in supporting roles.
Samuel L. Jackson made his debut as Nick Fury in Iron Man, and he went on to appear in ten more MCU movies over the course of the past 15 years. In addition to portraying him in Secret Invasion, he’ll also return in the upcoming superhero flick The Marvels.
Secret Invasion will feature a total of six episodes and it will premiere on Disney+ on June 21.
