Sarah Hyland did a great job hosting Love Island USA for two seasons, but she’s not coming back for another round. Modern Family star announced her exit on social media, explaining she won’t be able to return to host the show next season due to scheduling conflicts.

Hyland announced her departure in a statement on social media, adding she hopes to see a lot of love this summer when Love Island USA returns to Peacock.

“I’m disappointed the news had to break this way but it is in fact true that I will not be returning to the island this summer. I have committed to an exciting project that will be announced soon that conflicts directly with the shooting dates for Love Island USA,” she wrote on Instagram.

Modern Family alum joined Love Island USA in Season 4, when the reality series moved to Peacock from CBS, where Arielle Vandenberg served as a host. Following the success of the show’s fifth season, Peacock renewed it for two more, and TMZ reports that Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix emerged as a strong candidate to replace Hyland as a host.

Since Modern Family ended its run in 2020, we’ve seen Hyland play one of the main roles in Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, in addition to starring in the romantic comedy My Fake Boyfriend.
