Ryan Murphy is busy casting his next Hulu drama All’s Fair, and he convinced many of his frequent collaborators to come on board. Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts, Naomi Watts, and Teyana Taylor are the latest stars to join Glenn Close and Kim Kardashian in this ensemble legal drama.
Plot details about All’s Fair are being kept under wraps, but we know it will center on the personal and professional lives of a group of women working for an all-female law firm. Kardashian was the first star to join the cast as a Los Angeles divorce lawyer, while Close was added to the ensemble as the head of the law firm.
Halle Berry was also cast in a mystery role but eventually dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts, Naomi Watts, and Teyana Taylor have been cast in new roles, and none of their characters will serve as a replacement for Berry’s.
All’s Fair is the first series developed under Murphy’s new overall deal with Disney, and he’ll serve as its writer, director, and executive producer. Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Jamie Pachino, Lyn Greene, and Richard Levine are joining him as writers and executive producers, with Kris Jenner, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, and Holly Jeter also serving as EPs.
