The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will take us back to Middle-earth this August, and Amazon announced its return with a new teaser. Sauron is back and ready to unleash chaos, as he prepares to bend elves, dwarves, orcs, wizards, and men to his will.

According to Amazon’s official logline, Season 2 of The Rings of Power will plunge even its most beloved and vulnerable characters into a rising tide of darkness, challenging each to find their place in a world that is increasingly on the brink of calamity.

After being cast out by Galadriel, Sauron is back, without an army or ally in sight, but that’s not stopping him from using his own cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power, in an attempt to bind the people of Middle-earth to his sinister will.

Charlie Vickers will return as Sauron in the show’s second season, alongside Morfydd Clark, Markella Kavenagh, Robert Aramayo, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Maxim Baldry, Charles Edwards, Benjamin Walker, Dylan Smith, Lenny Henry, and more.

Season 2 teaser for The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power was unveiled as a part of Amazon’s Upfront presentation, and it also revealed the August 29 release date.
