Mindy Kaling’s Netflix basketball series will be one star-studded affair, and she keeps adding amazing actors to its cast. Barbie star Scott Evans is the latest addition to the impressive cast of this promising series, led by Kate Hudson.

Running Point will star Hudson as Isla Gordon, who’s appointed president of the storied NBA franchise Los Angeles Waves after her brothers are forced to resign due to a major scandal. She must navigate the unpredictable, male-dominated world of sports and prove to everyone who’d ever doubted her that she’s the right person for the job.

Evans joined the cast as Charlie, the secret boyfriend of Drew Tarver’s character Sandy Gordon. He’s one of Isla’s brothers, who felt alienated by his family his entire life, so he’s now working hard to prove he can return the franchise to greatness.

The star-studded cast of this series also includes Scott MacArthur, Jay Ellis, Brenda Song, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, Max Greenfield, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Roberto Sanchez, Uche Agada, and Dane DiLiegro.

This 10-episode series was created for Netflix by Mindy Kaling and her fellow The Mindy Project alums Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen, who serves as showrunner. They’re also executive producing it alongside Hudson, the Los Angeles Lakers’ Jeanie Buss and Linda Rambis, and 3 Arts’ Howard Klein.
