Dexter: Original Sin will reunite us with everyone’s favorite avenging serial killer Dexter Morgan, and we finally know what this prequel series will look like. Showtime shared a series of first-look images, introducing audiences to the Morgan family.
Dexter: Original Sin takes place 15 years before the original series starring Michael C. Hall, and it sees the younger Dexter Morgan making a transition from student to avenging serial killer.
“When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry, he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society,” reads the show’s official logline.
Showtime’s first-look photos give us a glimpse of Patrick Gibson as Dexter Morgan, plus Christian Slater as his father Harry Morgan, and Molly Brown as his sister Debra Morgan.
The cast of this prequel series will also include Patrick Dempsey as Aaron Spencer, James Martinez as Angel Batista, Christina Milian as Maria LaGuerta, Alex Shimizu as Vince Masuka, Reno Wilson as Bobby Watt, and Sarah Michelle Gellar as Tanya Martin.
Showtime gave Dexter: Original Sin a ten-episode order, with Clyde Phillips serving as its showrunner and executive producer.
