The second season of the acclaimed sci-fi drama Silo is in full swing, and there’s more where that came from! Apple TV+ renewed the dystopian series led by Rebecca Ferguson for two more seasons, while also announcing that Season 4 would be its final chapter.
Based on Hugh Howey’s trilogy of novels, Silo is set in the dystopian future where the remaining survivors built a community inside a giant underground silo comprising 144 levels. Rebecca Ferguson leads the show’s cast as Juliette Nichols, an engineer who finds herself embroiled in the mysteries of the silo while working on the generators at its lowest levels.
In addition to Ferguson, the cast of this series also includes Tim Robbins, Common, Steve Zahn, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Clare Perkins, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie, and Iain Glen.
Showrunner and executive producer Graham Yost released a statement confirming the show’s renewal and said he’s thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Howey’s complete story to the screen.
“It has been a richly rewarding experience to adapt Hugh’s epic novels with our partners at Apple… With the final two chapters of Silo, we can’t wait to give fans of the show an incredibly satisfying conclusion to the many mysteries and unanswered questions contained within the walls of these silos,” said Yost in a statement.
Season 2 of Silo premiered on Apple TV+ on November 15, and it features ten episodes debuting weekly until January 17, 2025.
