Many beloved TV shows have been rebooted in recent years, but could Modern Family be the next one in line? Its star Sofia Vergara recently discussed the show’s potential return with Jimmy Fallon and said she feels too early to bring it back.

Vergara is currently busy promoting her new Netflix series Griselda, but Fallon couldn’t help but bring up a recent Modern Family reunion at her house during their interview. She said it felt emotional to reunite with the cast for the first time since the pandemic because they spent five days a week together for an entire decade.

Fallon also asked Vergara if she felt it was time for a reboot after having such a great time with the cast, but she was quick to shut this idea down.

“No, it’s only been four years. I don’t know [how long you have to wait for a reboot], but it doesn’t seem right. I feel like we need a little bit more time,” said Vergara before jokingly adding they don’t have much time because Ed O’Neill is old.

Vergara is currently doing promo for her new series Griselda, set to premiere on Netflix on January 25, in which she plays the Colombian criminal mastermind Griselda Blanco.
