Many amazing actors have gone through the halls of the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital over the years, and Sophia Bush is the next one in line. One Tree Hill star joined the ensemble cast of ABC’s long-running medical drama Grey’s Anatomy in a recurring role.

Bush will make her Grey’s Anatomy debut on November 7, in the sixth episode of the show’s 21st season. She’ll play Dr. Cass Beckman, described as a trauma surgeon who’s “amiable, fun, and a little messy around the edges.”

This won’t mark the first medical procedural drama that Bush was a part of. She played Detective Erin Lindsay in several episodes of Chicago Med and recently appeared in the medical drama Good Sam opposite Jason Isaacs, which ran on CBS for one season in 2022.

Bush is best known as the star of the hit series One Tree Hill, and she’ll reprise the role as Brooke Davis in a newly announced Netflix sequel series. Her credits also include roles in TV shows Love, Victor, Partners, and Chicago P.D.

Season 21 of Grey’s Anatomy premiered on ABC on September 26. Its main cast includes Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens, Jr., Kevin McKidd, Caterina Scorsone, Camilla Luddington, Jason George, Kim Raver, Jake Borelli, and Chris Carmack.
