The Good Place creator Mike Schur and star Ted Danson are plotting their next series together, and 13 actors have just been added to its cast. Stephanie Beatriz, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Sally Struthers, and ten more are set to join Danson in the Netflix comedy A Classic Spy.

Ellis (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), and Struthers (Gilmore Girls) will star in this series alongside Lilah Richcreek Estrada (Chicago Med), Stephen Mckinley Henderson (Dune), Eugene Cordero (Loki), Margaret Avery (The Color Purple), John Getz (Grace and Frankie), Susan Ruttan (L.A. Law), Lori Tan Chinn (Joy Ride), Clyde Kusatsu (Never Have I Ever), Marc Evan Jackson (Lessons in Chemistry), and Jama Williamson (Single Parents).

This Netflix comedy series draws inspiration from the Oscar-nominated documentary The Mole Agent, and centers on a retired man Charles (Danson), who becomes a mole in a secret investigation after answering an ad from a private investigator researching elder abuse in retirement homes.

A Classic Spy will reunite Schur and Danson with several of their past collaborators. Cordero and Jackson both appeared on NBC’s The Good Place, which was created by Schur and starred Danson. Schur also co-created and executive produced Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which starred Beatriz and Jackson in major roles.
