The third season of Euphoria has been years in the making, and some of its key supporting players won’t return for the next chapter of the story. Storm Reid recently revealed that her character Gia won’t be a part of the show’s next season, while also adding she’s proud to have been a part of such a cultural phenomenon.
Storm Reid spent the first two seasons of Euphoria playing Gia, the younger sister of Zendaya’s character Rue. She was one of the show’s notable supporting players, along with Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, the late Angus Cloud, and Barbie Ferreira, who also left the show ahead of its third season.
Reid discussed her future on Euphoria with Rotten Tomatoes and said she’s excited to see the highly-anticipated third season, while also revealing she won’t be a part of it.
“Unfortunately, Gia’s not returning to the third season, but I am so, so indebted to the cast and the crew of that show, to HBO. Euphoria is a really special thing and I’m so glad that that’s a part of my legacy and that I was a part of such a cultural phenomenon,” the young actress explained.
Reid won an Emmy for her guest starring role in HBO’s post-apocalyptic series The Last of Us and recently starred in films Missing and The Nun II.
