After watching Season 3 of Stranger Things, fans were left wondering what happened to Hopper (David Harbour), and many thought he was dead after he helped bring down the Russian Terminator and close the rift between the real world and the Upside Down.

Netflix released a 50-second teaser for the fourth season entitled “From Russia With Love,” which clears up what happened to Hopper. It turns out he’s alive in Russia!

The teaser shows a much thinner and buzzed-haired Hopper, who’s doing manual labor with other imprisoned men in the chilling snow while being watched by Russian guards.

“We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper,” creators and showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer said.

“Although it’s not all good news for our ‘American’; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other. Meanwhile, back in the States, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything,” they continued.
