It feels like an eternity has passed since the last season of Stranger Things dropped on Netflix, but we finally know how long we’ll have to wait until the next chapter. The new teaser for the fourth season is here and it revealed that the series will return in 2022.
The 30-second clip mostly consists of classic scenes from the show’s past, but still manages to give us a glimpse of things to come. A few brief moments show Eleven and the gang embarking on new adventures and fighting dark forces from the Upside Down.
This isn’t the first glimpse of Season 4 that Netflix gave us recently. Back in 2020, they dropped a brief teaser that centers on David Harbour’s Hopper, and later hinted at the possible return of Dr. Martin Brenner, played by Matthew Modine.
While discussing the show’s future, the Duffer brothers confirmed that Hopper will come back and said that he’s “imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka”. They also added that Season 4 will be the most frightening one yet, and added that “a new horror is beginning to surface, something long-buried, something that connects everything”.
