The Television Critics Association picks their best show of the year every summer, and they made some pretty great choices this time around. The list of TCA Awards winners is here, and it’s led by the final season of HBO’s acclaimed drama Succession.

Succession defeated the likes of Abbott Elementary, Andor, The Bear, Better Call Saul, The Last of Us, The Other Two, Poker Face, and The White Lotus to pick the ceremony’s most prestigious accolade: program of the year.

This series also picked up the award for outstanding achievement in drama, but its stars Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, and Jeremy Strong lost out the acting award for individual achievement in drama to Better Call Saul’s Rhea Seehorn, the first supporting performer to ever take this trophy home.

Melanie McFarland, the outgoing TCA President, congratulated all of this year’s winners and said she’s hoping they’ll be able to celebrate them in person in 2024 after this year’s ceremony was canceled in the face of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike.

“This was a landmark year for television, as we said goodbye to several powerhouse series while welcoming a new generation of shows and stars into this highly competitive landscape… Our honorees exemplify the strength of television and the unique depth that it allows creators to explore,” said McFarland in a statement.
