The CW canceled many of its fan-favorite shows in recent years, but Superman and Lois was lucky enough to continue its run. The superhero drama is officially coming back for its fourth season, which will be slightly shorter than previous ones and feature a total of 10 episodes.

Brad Schwartz, president of entertainment at The CW Network, released an official statement announcing the show’s renewal, along with All American: Homecoming. He described these shows as two of their strongest performers and said they’re thrilled to bring them back.

“We are grateful to our partners at Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions for their continued collaboration, and we cannot wait to get started on the new seasons.”,” said Schwartz in a statement.

Superman and Lois was in limbo ever since The CW started canceling their beloved shows to cut costs. Fans feared the network would ax this superhero drama due to its expensive special effects, but The CW decided to keep the story going and simply make the next season shorter.

Superman and Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as the beloved duo, and it sees them returning to Smallville with their sons in an attempt to lead a peaceful life away from all the superhero drama.
