Surveillance Thriller “The Capture” Returning For a Second Season

Holliday Grainger in "The Capture"

The BBC has ordered a second season of the surveillance thriller The Capture.

Executive produced by David Heyman (Harry Potter) and starring Holliday Grainger, the second season will follow Rachel Carey (Grainger) and pick off where season one shocking ending left off. The first season began with the arrest of an innocent man (Callum Turner) and turned into a multi-layer conspiracy with manipulated evidence. Detective Inspector Rachel Carey is hired to investigate the case and she learns that the truth is more complicated than it seems.

At the end of Season 1, we saw Carey joining forces with the shadowy correction team she was trying to expose.

Creator and director, BAFTA award winner Ben Chanan, will return to helm Season 2. “Rachel Carey falls deeper into the dizzying world of fakery and disinformation. She has only just scratched the surface of this conspiracy,” said Chanan.

Executive producer Grainger said Chanan’s “meticulously researched world challenges the boundary between possible and probable dark truths and constantly keeps you guessing.”
