The upcoming third season of Sweet Tooth will serve as its swan song, and Netflix just gave us a taste of things to come. The Season 3 trailer teases the beginning of the end, and it sees Gus and the rest of the gang looking for answers to all the big questions in Alaska.
Sweet Tooth is set in the post-apocalyptic world where babies are born with animal traits due to a mysterious disease that killed off most of the population. It centers on a sheltered and naïve part-deer boy Gus who embarks on a quest to find his long-lost mother.
Jim Mickle sees the show’s third season as the perfect conclusion to this story because it took characters exactly where he wanted them to go from the get-go.
“At the beginning, I think you set out to tell these landmark pieces of Gus’ story and the big pieces of the comic book, but the beauty of long-form storytelling and Gus’ journey over 24 episodes is the characters themselves tell you what they want to be,” Mickle told Netflix.
Sweet Tooth will return to Netflix for eight final episodes on June 6, and it will star Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, Stefania LaVie Owen, Naledi Murray, Amy Seimetz, and Kelly Marie Tran.
