Sydney Sweeney built a pretty successful film career since Euphoria first came out, but this series still holds a special place in her heart. The Emmy-nominated actress recently dropped some hints about the highly-anticipated Season 3, and said she’s “very excited” to jump back in.
Sweeney got her big break with the role of a popular, but insecure teen Cassie Howard in Euphoria, and scored her first Emmy nomination for her supporting turn. She went on to star in several notable films in the wake of its success, including Anyone but You, Madame Web, and Immaculate.
Even after her film career had taken off, Sweeney is still excited about going back to the Euphoria set and exploring the darker sides of Cassie’s character.
“I’m very excited to jump back into Cassie. She is definitely one of the most special characters for me and I love my Euphoria family, so I look forward to it… I love crazy Cassie, so the crazier, the better for me,” she recently told People.
Sweeney also said that she doesn’t know anything about the next season of the show, but it’s previously been reported that the production will kick off in January. Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, and Hunter Schafer are also coming back to reprise their roles.
