Netflix has released the first trailer for the YA series I Am Not Okay With This starring Sophia Lillis.
At just 18-years-old, Lillis has been an up and coming star appearing in Sharp Objects, Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase, and the It movies.
I Am Not Okay With This comes from 21 Laps Entertainment which is behind Stranger Things and it’s co-created by Jonathan Entswisle who co-created The End of the F***ing World.
The seven-episode series follows Sydney (Lillis) who’s trying to deal with fitting in in high school while coping with her father’s death, her sexuality, and her new superpowers.
Also starring in I Am Not Okay With This are Wyatt Oleff, Sofia Bryant, Kathleen Rose Perkins, Aidan Wojtak-Hissong and Richard Ellis.
Executive producer/director and co-creator Entswisle said that the series “has a very John Hughes feel to it — X-Men meets The Breakfast Club meets Lady Bird.”
I Am Not Okay With This will be available on Netflix on February 26 and you can watch the trailer below.
