Sylvester Stallone led the first season of Tulsa King as a former New York mobster trying to rebuild his empire in Oklahoma, and he’s ready for another epic adventure. The first teaser trailer for Season 2 of this Paramount+ series is here and it reveals its release date.
Stallone leads Tulsa King as Dwight “The General” Manfredi, a former mob boss who expects everything will go back to normal after spending 25 years behind bars – only to be sent from New York City to Tulsa, where he must set up a new criminal organization.
Season 2 will see Dwight and his crew defending their growing empire in Tulsa from those who want to stake their claim, and here’s what it has in store according to its official logline:
“With looming threats from the Kansas City mob and a very powerful local businessman, Dwight struggles to keep his family and crew safe while keeping track of all his affairs. Plus, he still has unfinished business back in New York.”
Season 2 will premiere on Paramount+ on September 15, and its production took longer than expected. Terence Winter stepped down as the showrunner due to creative differences with Tulsa King creator and executive producer Taylor Sheridan, but was later re-hired as a writer and stayed on board as an executive producer.
