Vikings‘ reign will end with season 6, but it does not look as though the final installment will disappoint.
It was announced in January that the 6th season of Ragnar Lothbrok’s adventures would be the last.
“I always knew how Vikings would end and, after 89 episodes, I truly believe the saga of Ragnar Lothbrok and his sons has been told and we are leaving our beloved fans with the proper and definitive ending they so deserve,” series creator Michael Hirst said in a statement. “Although it is bittersweet, there are still 20 episodes left and the most ambitious and intensely emotional episodes are still to come.”
The trailer promises that we are in for a wild ride.
The final 20 episodes will be shown in two separate parts, with the first installment beginning on December 4th. The remaining 10 episodes are set to air later in 2020.
