The Critics’ Choice Awards are the latest ceremony to celebrate the movies and TV shows we’ve been watching in 2020. When it comes to the television field, the Netflix royal drama The Crown continued its reign with four awards and it was closely followed by the Apple TV+ comedy Ted Lasso.

The Crown came out victorious only a week after dominating at Golden Globes and won awards in all the same categories. In addition to being named as the best drama series, it also won in several acting categories thanks to the amazing performances of its stars Josh O’Connor, Emma Corrin, and Gillian Anderson.

Apple TV’s underrated sitcom Ted Lasso finally received credit where credit is due and walked away with three awards. It was named the best comedy series, while its stars Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham collected the awards for best actor and the best supporting actress in a comedy series.

The list of major winners at the ceremony also included The Queen’s Gambit, which won the award for the best limited series and best actress in a limited series for Anya Taylor-Joy. Schitt’s Creek also collected two trophies that went to its stars Catherine O’Hara and Dan Levy.

The 26th Critics’ Choice Awards took place on March 7th, with Taye Diggs serving as the host for the third consecutive time.
