Dexter: Original Sin is coming to Showtime next month, and its new trailer will give you a major nostalgia overload. Everyone’s favorite avenging serial killer Dexter Morgan returns in the new promo clip for this prequel series, which chronicles his sinister origin story.
Dexter: Original Sin takes us to 1991 Miami and sees the young Dexter trying to channel his inner darkness once his bloodthirsty urges become impossible to ignore. This proves to be quite a challenge after Dexter starts a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department, where he’s trying to solve murders while also committing them in his free time.
Patrick Gibson leads the cast of this series as the younger version of Dexter Morgan, while Michael C. Hall returns as the narrator and his inner voice. Christian Slater, Patrick Dempsey, Molly Brown, James Martinez, Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, Reno Wilson, and Sarah Michelle Gellar star in supporting roles.
Dexter originally aired on Showtime for eight seasons between 2006 and 2013 and produced a limited sequel series Dexter: New Blood, which will be succeeded by Dexter: Resurrection. Dexter: Original Sin is its second official spin-off, and it will debut on December 13 on Paramount+ before airing on Showtime on December 15.
