Peacock is slowly rounding out the cast of the limited series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist and another major star just joined its ensemble. The Oscar-nominated actor Terrence Howard will play a key role in this promising series, which centers on the aftermath of one of Muhammad Ali’s most iconic fights.

Fight Night will reunite Howard with Craig Brewer, who was by his side during some of the pivotal moments of his career. Howard scored an Oscar nod for the role in Brewer’s Hustle & Flow and later went on to lead the hit series Empire, which Brewer produced and directed. He’ll also be credited as director/executive producer of Fight Night.

Based on the hit podcast of the same name, Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist will be set during Muhammad Ali’s historic 1970 comeback fight against Jerry Quarry. Its afterparty was as memorable as the fight itself since it served as the scene of the largest armed robberies the country has ever seen.

Howard joined this project in the role of Richard “Cadillac” Wheeler, a gangster and associate of the Council of 12. He’s joining Kevin Hart and Samuel L. Jackson, while the rest of the cast is yet to be announced.
