We haven’t seen Tessa Thompson star in a major TV series since Westworld ended its run, but she’ll soon get a chance to lead her own. The Emmy-nominated actress will lead and executive produce Netflix’s psychological thriller limited series His & Hers.
Based on Alice Feeney’s novel of the same name, His & Hers stars Thompson as a reclusive journalist Anna, who’s fading away from her loved ones, until a mystery murder in her hometown shakes her up.
“When she overhears about a murder in Dahlonega – the sleepy town where she grew up – Anna is snapped back to life, pouncing on the case and searching for answers. Detective Jack Harper is strangely suspicious of her involvement, chasing her into the crosshairs of his own investigation,” reads Netflix’s official logline.
William Oldroyd and Bill Dubuque serve as co-writers and executive producers of this series. Thompson is also joining them as one of the EPs, along with showrunner Dee Johnson, Kristen Campo of Campout Productions, Jessica Chastain and Kelly Carmichael of Freckle Films, and Kishori Rajan of Viva Maude.
Thompson is best known for playing Valkyrie in the MCU, and her notable credits include acclaimed films Dear White People, Passing, Annihilation, and Creed, in addition to HBO’s sci-fi series Westworld.
