The third season of The Bear created a lot of buzz following its premiere last month, and it’s getting credit where credit is due. Season 3 helped it reach a new high on Nielsen’s streaming chart and hit No. 1 among the original shows during its debut week.

The Bear had its biggest streaming week to date for the June 24-30 period, following its return for Season 3 on June 27. It managed to rack up 1.23 billion minutes of viewing during this week, beating its previous high of 1.01 billion minutes following the Season 2 premiere last year.

The Bear thus hit No. 3 on Nielsen’s streaming chart, only behind Your Honor with 1.58 billion minutes of viewing and Dexter with 1.48 billion minutes of viewing. It’s the highest-ranking original series this week, and one of seven shows to score more than a billion minutes of viewing, which is a rarity for Nielsen’s streaming chart.

The success of the third season of The Bear on Nielsen’s charts comes shortly after its second season shattered Primetime Emmy Awards records. The nominations were announced on July 17, and the second season of The Bear scored 23 nods, making history as the most nominated comedy series in a single year.
