Most beloved shows these days take years to return for a new season… and then there’s The Bear! FX is reportedly fast-tracking the beloved dramedy, and Deadline claims they quietly renewed it for Season 4, which will shoot back-to-back with the upcoming Season 3.

Rumors about the potential ending of The Bear started circling around after several local Chicago outlets reported that creator Christopher Storer agreed to film additional episodes. Deadline decided to get to the bottom of what’s really going on, and it turns out that The Bear is far from over.

Season 4 renewal is yet to be announced, but it’s happening, according to Deadline’s recent report. New episodes are being shot back-to-back in Chicago in order to accommodate the cast’s busy schedules since its Emmy-winning stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach have tons of opportunities coming their way.

This announcement also sparked speculations that the fourth season of The Bear might be its last since FX embraced a similar model with its acclaimed comedy Atlanta, which ended after shooting Seasons 3 and 4 back-to-back. Deadline dismissed these rumors, claiming that Season 5 of The Bear still remains a possibility.

The Bear will be back for its third season this June, and it will stick to its binge-drop model, established by the first two seasons.
