The Boys became one of Amazon’s biggest hits in the past few years and there’s more where that came from! The streaming giant is expanding this franchise with a brand-new live-action spin-off Gen V, and expectations are running high after the first full trailer hit the shelves.

Eric Kripke, who developed the original series for Amazon, join forces with Craig Rosenberg, and Evan Goldberg to create this promising spin-off. Gen V is inspired by the story arc from the original comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, which offers a bloody twist on The X-Men and The Hunger Games.

Gen V will see a group of aspiring supes have their physical and moral boundaries tested in battle royale challenges at the Godolkin University School, run by Vought International. After the university’s dark secrets come to light, they must decide what kind of heroes they want to become.

Gen V will feature a total of eight episodes, airing weekly on Prime Video following the show’s three-episode premiere on September 29. The series will star Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, and Patrick Schwarzenegger, and it will feature cameos from The Boys stars Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and P.J. Byrne.
