The Crown will end its six-season run on Netflix next month, and the streamer finally gave us a taste of things to come. The first look at Season 6 – Part 2 is here, and it offers a glimpse of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s fairytale romance.

The second part of the show’s final season will kick off with Prince William going back to Eton and trying to adjust to his life there following his mother’s death. Things finally start looking up for him when he meets Kate Middleton, and the series will capture the start of their courtship.

In addition to William and Kate’s fairytale romance, the final season of The Crown will explore several more storylines, including Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee, Prince Charles’ second royal wedding to Camilla Parker Bowles, and the royal family’s struggles to ride the wave of public opinion as the monarchy enters a new era.

Ed McVey, Luther Ford, and Meg Bellamy are joining the show’s final season as Prince William, Prince Harry, and Kate Middleton, while the rest of the cast includes Imelda Staunton (Queen Elizabeth), Jonathan Pryce (Prince Philip), Lesley Manville (Princess Margaret), Dominic West (Prince Charles), and Olivia Williams (Camilla Parker Bowles).

The second part of The Crown’s final season features six episodes, set to premiere on Netflix on December 14.
