Max announced the cancelation of several beloved shows in recent weeks, and The Flight Attendant is the next one in line. Despite helping put this streaming service on the map in 2020, the acclaimed dark comedy led by Kaley Cuoco won’t return for Season 3.

Based on Chris Bohjalian’s novel of the same name, The Flight Attendant centered on an alcoholic, self-destructive flight attendant Cassie who becomes embroiled in a global murder mystery schemed after a first-class passenger she spent a night with winds up dead.

The Flight Attendant was created for Max by Steve Yockey, and its supporting cast included Zosia Mamet, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz, Rosie Perez, Michiel Huisman, Colin Woodell, T. R. Knight, and Michelle Gomez.

Cuoco, who received two Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for her leading role, didn’t seem to be too heartbroken by the show’s cancelation because she always envisioned The Flight Attendant as a limited series.

“Thanks to an incredible creative team, we were able to deliver two thrilling seasons. Personally, playing Cassie has been a dream come true and I am so grateful for everyone who played a part in bringing this extremely original series to life,” said Cuoco in a statement.
