The Jerry Springer Show has finally come to an end

The Jerry Springer Show has officially been cancelled.

The show has run for a ridiculous 4,000 episodes and 27 seasons. Full of profanities, dramatic disputes and guests who have no shame when it comes to embarrassing themselves in front of cameras, the show has been described as “the worst show in the history of television.”

NBC Universal have confirmed that there will be no new episodes so we can assume that the infamous show is finally coming to an end.

Jerry Springer has not yet commented on the cancellation, although he previously spoke with Entertainment Tonight about production coming to an end.

“A deal has been made with The CW and so our show will be on in most cities twice a day,” he said. “It will be mostly from the shows we’ve done, so every once in a while you’ll be seeing shows where I look a lot younger.”

He has also hinted that this won’t be the end of his television career.

“Other people have come and talked about possible television projects,” he said. “But I don’t know that I can maintain this schedule that … has been insane for all these years.”

We’re not sure how Springer feels about the show finishing, although based on what he has said before about the series, we can assume he won’t be too gutted.

“It’s really stupid, it’s a circus. People come on… I mean it’s not a serious show,” Jerry has said.

He also added: “It’s a stupid show. I have expenses and I needed a job!”
