“The Mandalorian” Season 2 Casts Timothy Olyphant

Another star is set to join the Star Wars universe.

Although it’s still unclear what his role will be, Timothy Olyphant joins previously announced Temuera Morrison, Rosario Dawson, and Michael Biehn.

Olyphant is known for his roles in Santa Clarita Diet, Justified and Deadwood. He received an Emmy nomination for his role in Justified. In regards to films, his roles include Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Dreamcatcher, The Girl Next Door, Live Free or Die Hard, and Hitman.

The Mandalorian is about the Mandalorian, played by Pedro Pascal, a bounty hunter on the fringes of the Star Wars universe, and how he becomes the guardian of a mysterious creature known as The Child, or by fans as Baby Yoda.

Season 2 of The Mandalorian will be released later this year and Season 3 is already in the works at Disney+. There are three other Star Wars shows in the works at Disney+, which include the Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor, the Cassian Andor series starring Diego Luna, and the recently announced all female-led Star Wars series from Leslye Headland.
