The Night Agent is one of the most popular new shows to premiere on Netflix last year, and its second season will be equally epic. The streaming giant finally announced that Season 2 kicked off production and revealed where the show’s next chapter will take place.

According to Netflix’s official logline, The Night Agent centers on Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI agent who works in the basement of the White House. He’s manning a phone that never rings, until it does, propelling him into a fast-moving and dangerous mission.

Gabriel Basso will be back as Peter Sutherland, and he’ll be in pretty good company when The Night Agent returns for Season 2. Several cast members have recently been added to the show’s ensemble, including Brittany Snow (Pitch Perfect), Louis Herthum (Home Before Dark), Berto Colon (Power Book II: Ghost), Arienne Mandi (The L Word: Generation Q), and Teddy Sears (The Flash).

The Night Agent kicked off production this week and it’s eying a 2024 release date. While the first season was set in and around Washington D.C. and filmed in Vancouver, the next chapter will slightly shift the setting. The shooting will take place primarily in New York City, with the additional scenes being filmed in Thailand and Washington D.C.
