The Russo Brothers are Planning a Marvel vs DC Documentary Series

Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo are working on a docuseries about the infamous Marvel vs DC rivalry.

The Marvel vs DC rivalry has been piping hot over the last few years. Marvel broke records with the Avengers movies and DC hit back with Justice League. DC gave Wonder Woman her own solo flick and Marvel hit back with Captain Marvel. Marvel broke records with Deadpool and now Joker has nabbed the title of highest R-rated movie from under Marvel’s noses.

The history of the Marvel/DC rivalry has been going on long before MCU. The battle has been raging on for 50 years and in their new series, the Russo Brothers will delve into the history.

Titled Slugfest, the docuseries will be based on the book by Reed Tucker Slugfest: Inside the Epic, 50-year battle between the two superhero giants.

A synopsis of the series reads: “Slugfest will bring to light little-known stories from the history of this uniquely American art form. The men and women who were behind the creation of some of the best-known and most revered characters in the world will share their stories and reflect on the symbiotic relationship between DC and Marvel, whose rivalry pushed the medium to its greatest heights.”

Slugfest will arrive on Quibli’s streaming service on April 6, 2020.
