The second season of Netflix’s The Sandman is underway, and it’s slowly rounding out its cast. Esmé Creed-Miles, Adrian Lester, and Barry Sloane will join Season 2 of Neil Gaiman’s acclaimed series as Delirium, Destiny, and The Prodigal.

Based on Gaiman’s hit comics series of the same name, The Sandman stars Tom Sturridge as Dream, the powerful cosmic entity who’s the personification of our dreams and nightmares. After being held captive for over a century, he must traverse across different worlds and timelines to restore order to his realm.

In addition to Sturridge in the lead role, the cast of The Sandman also includes Kirby, Mason Alexander Park, Donna Preston, Patton Oswalt, Vivienne Acheampong, Gwendoline Christie, Jenna Coleman, Ferdinand Kingsley, Stephen Fry, and Asim Chaudhry, who are expected to return in Season 2.

They’ll be joined by Esmé Creed-Miles as Delirium, Adrian Lester as Destiny, and Barry Sloane as The Prodigal. They’re all members of The Endless, the group of seven children of the cosmic entities Night and Time, which also includes Dream, along with Death, Desire, and Despair.

The trio’s casting was announced as Season 2 kicked off production, and The Sandman author has high expectations for the next chapter of this story.

“Genius showrunner Allan Heinberg and the countless people in front of and behind the camera are building something endlessly special, and bringing these stories to life in a way that would once have been unimaginable,” wrote Gaiman in a letter to fans.
