It’s been five years since The Society abruptly ended after one season, and its fans have been bagging Netflix to bring it back ever since. Its creator Christopher Keyser feels the same way, and he recently revealed he’s having “consistent conversations” about a potential Season 2.

Led by Kathryn Newton, Gideon Adlon, Sean Berdy, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Jacques Colimon, and Kristine Froseth, The Society centers on a group of teens who must join forces and form their own community after the rest of the population of their hometown mysteriously disappears.

The Society premiered on Netflix in 2019 and the streamer initially renewed it, before deciding to pull the plug in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Its final episode left many loose ends to be tied up, and fans have been asking for answers ever since.

The Society creator Christopher Keyser recently revealed he’s having consistent conversations with Marc Webb and other writers about bringing it back because the audience is still passionate about seeing this story through.

“They are still moved by it and want answers to the questions and then new questions are posed. I just don’t know whether the world is going to work in a way that aligns for us, but we’ll keep trying for a while because it’s gotten under my skin as well,” Keyser told Variety.
