“The Umbrella Academy” Casts Three New Actors

Ellen Page, Robert Sheehan, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Aidan Gallagher, and Emmy Raver-Lampman in "The Umbrella Academy"

Netflix is going to try for a few more people under that umbrella.

Earlier this year, the streaming service adapted Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá’s comic book series, The Umbrella Academy, about seven superhuman individuals who were all born on the same day and are tasked with saving the world from the apocalypse.

Production on the second season of the series is currently underway, with three new cast mates having now been added.

They include Ritu Arya of Humans, who has been cast as Lila, a chameleon who can be as brilliant or as clinically insane as the situation requires; Good Omens actor Yusuf Gatewood, as the charismatic Raymond; and no-nonsense mom Sissy, who will be played by Y star Marin Ireland.

The trio will be joining Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin H. Min, who will all be reprising their roles in the second installment, due out next year.
