The Witcher star Joey Batey has revealed his favorite moments on the show.
The Netflix fantasy series tells the story of a rugged, silver-haired monster slayer. Even if you have escaped watching the show, it is unlikely that you have escaped hearing “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” – the song that everyone was singing over the Christmas break.
Batey’s Jaskier is the character that was responsible for the song and in the show, he is very much a comic relief character. For Batey, however, his favorite moments on the show were the more serious ones.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, Batey said: “In all honesty, my favourite scenes were the slightly more… the more down moments, definitely. The moments where we connect and kind of step away from all the nonsense and the improvisation, which there was a lot of, because I apparently just don’t say the script. There’s a really lovely arc to it in episode six, which I imagine you’ve not seen yet.”
He then added: “But there’s a couple of moments in that where a lot of that frivolity and the comic nature of the relationship kind of gets put aside for a few moments, and they actually talk to each other as friends.”
