The end of the f***ing world is nigh.
In 2018, Netflix screened the tale of a teenage psychopath who attempts to leave his childhood home with a girl from school who is in love with him.
The dark comedy consisted of 8 episodes where each installment seemed to get the pair into a more disastrous situation.
Alex Lawther and Jessica Barden will return as James and Alyssa when The End of the F***ing World returns for a second season next month.
Lawther previously told Digital Spy how he’d like the sophomore season to begin, saying, “[Jessica] was saying how she would like the second series to start with a musical on the beach – taking a role in a musical version of The End of the F***ing World, which I would be completely up for! I’m not sure how Charlie [Covell, series writer] will take that, but we’re going to push that idea as far as we can.”
New characters are expected in the second season, with Tim Key joining the cast as motel owner Gus and Naomi Ackie as Bonnie, a troubled woman who has a connection to Alyssa.
All eight episodes of season 2 will premiere on Netflix on November 5th.
