There is an End in Sight for “This Is Us”

This Is Us fans best start gearing up for the Big Three. Seasons, that is.

As the multiple award-winning series begins winding to the end of its third season, producers have revealed that there are only 3 more in store…

That’s right; the much loved series is set to wrap up all its timelines at the end of season 6.

“From day one, Dan [Fogelman] came in with his master plan for the big picture stuff of the show and said, ‘I think this is where we end up. I think this is what I know. Let’s figure out the rest together,” Isaac Aptaker said of his fellow showrunner.

The cast has also confirmed that they know how the highly-acclaimed series will end, with Justin Hartley telling E! Online at the Golden Globes, “I kind of know how the series ends. I hope it doesn’t end soon but I kind of know how the series ends.”

With the show’ final scene having already been shot, Aptaker hopes that audiences will be satisfied with its conclusion.

“I would hope that when we reach our ending, people think it’s a really satisfying end place, that makes sense, and it feels like they’ve watched something that is a complete piece of work because that’s really how we’re trying to plan it. Almost like you would a book, or a super-long movie,” he said. “We’ve had this end in mind for a long time, so we’re able to plan for it, and try to make it feel like it’s a whole, as opposed to a series that’s going to go endlessly.”

Just please leave the crockpots out of it…
