It’s been quite some time since This Is Us ended its run, but its popularity isn’t fading away. The hit NBC drama found a whole new audience after becoming available on Netflix and returned to the top ten on Nielsen’s streaming list.
This Is Us aired on NBC for six seasons between 2016 and 2022 and told a heartwarming and emotional story about a unique set of triplets and their parents over several time frames. This series has been available on Hulu for a while now, but it experienced a major bump in popularity after hitting Netflix, as well.
This Is Us was a true critical darling during its run, and it received 40 Emmy nods and four wins. This series largely owes its acclaim to its star-studded cast, including Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Susan Kelechi Watson, and Chris Sullivan.
With 929 million minutes viewed across both streaming services between January 15-21, This Is Us hit the No. 8 spot on Nielsen’s streaming list. Animated series Bluey soared to No. 1 with 1.5 billion minutes watched, while Amazon Prime Video’s Reacher hit No. 2 following the Season 2 finale with 1.2 billion minutes watched.
