The wheels are turning on the second season of Peacemaker, and another amazing actor will be joining John Cena in Season 2. Saturday Night Live veteran Tim Meadows has been added to the cast, and James Gunn took to Instagram to share the news with the world.

Peacemaker creator James Gunn confirmed Tim Meadows’ casting on social media, by sharing a photo that sees him hanging out with Meadows and Steve Agee, who played A.R.G.U.S. agent John Economos in the first season of the hit superhero series.

John Cena will also return as Christopher Smith aka Peacemaker in the second season of this series, along with Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland, and Robert Patrick. It’s also been announced that Frank Grillo joined the cast as Rick Flag Sr., reprising his role from the DCU animated series Creature Commandos.

Tim Meadows is joining the second season as Langston Fleury, another agent of A.R.G.U.S., the government organization that’s behind the black ops squad known as “Project Butterfly”, which includes Peacemaker.

Meadows is best known as the alum of the cult sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live. He also starred in The Goldbergs and briefly led its spin-off Schooled. His recent credits include the black comedy Dream Scenario and teen musical Mean Girls, where he reprised his role from the original 2000s film.
