Netflix gave us one of its most beloved rom-com series with the To All the Boys franchise, and it seems there’s more on the way. The streaming giant is developing a spinoff series XO, Kitty which centers on Lara Jean’s little sister Kitty, played by breakout star Anna Cathcart.
Kitty was the one who infamously sent Lara Jean’s secret love letters to her old crushes, setting the events of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before in motion. The teen matchmaker served as the comic relief in the first three movies, but XO, Kitty will give her a chance to shine on her own.
According to its official logline, this series will focus on Kitty as she moves halfway across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, only to realize that relationships are a lot more complicated when it’s your own heart on the line. This hints at the possible return of Kitty’s past love interest Dae, whom she met during her trip to Korea in the third movie.
To All the Boys franchise gave Cathcart her big break, but her filmography includes an impressive list of other projects. She previously played Agent Olympia in the children’s series Odd Squad and appeared in Disney Channel’s Descendants movies.
