We can count on Guy Ritchie to attract an A-list cast to each of his projects, and his next TV series will be the most star-studded one yet. Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan are in final negotiations to lead Ritchie’s upcoming Paramount+ series The Associate.

Developed by Guy Ritchie and Ronan Bennett, this series was initially envisioned as a spin-off of the Showtime series Ray Donovan. The project was reworked in the meantime to have no connection to this franchise, and it will be a standalone series, developed under the working title The Associate.

This series will reportedly follow “two generations of gangsters, the businesses they run, the complex relationships they weave, and the man they call upon to fix their problems.” Mirren and Brosnan will play the matriarch and patriarch at the center of this series, while Hardy will join them as the family’s go-to fixer.

Guy Ritchie will serve as writer and director of this series, in addition to executive producing it alongside Ronan Bennett, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, and Ivan Atkinson. He recently made a transition to television with the hit Netflix series The Gentlemen, and he’s getting ready to direct and produce Amazon Prime Video’s Young Sherlock led by Hero Fiennes Tiffin.
