Tom Segura developed five stand-up comedy specials for Netflix over the course of the past decade, and their collaboration will soon continue. He’s joining forces with the streaming giant for a new dark comedy series, expected to feature a total of six episodes.

Segura will serve as a narrator of this show, which will take us through a series of vignettes in each episode. According to Netflix’s logline, “the twisted comedic sensibility of Tom’s standup is the core DNA of this series, where every story will unfold in a hilariously disturbing way only he could imagine.”

Segura wrote, produced, and secured financing for the pilot before selling it to Netflix. Rami Hachache directed the pilot episode, while Jeremy Konner (Drunk History) is coming on board as a head writer. The full series will be filmed later this year, and it’s eyeing a 2025 premiere date on Netflix.

Segura previously joined forces with Netflix on five comedy specials – Completely Normal (2014), Mostly Stories (2016), Disgraceful (2018), Ball Hog (2020), and Sledgehammer (2023). He’s currently busy with his stand-up tour Come Together, in addition to being in talks to star as Andy Kaufman‘s larger-than-life comedic persona Tony Clifton and his longtime collaborator Bob Zmuda in the movie Dirty Rotten Bastard.
