We’re always in the mood for a good cameo that will keep us on the edge of our seats, and our favorite TV shows have given us quite a few this year. From the cast of The Bear episode “Fishes” to a surprising Hollywood superstar popping up in Reservation Dogs, here are our favorite TV cameos of 2023.
The Bear – “Fishes” Cast
From Will Poulter to Olivia Colman, several A-list stars casually popped up in the second season of The Bear. The acclaimed episode “Fishes” delivered multiple amazing cameos, with the likes of Bob Odenkirk, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sarah Paulson, John Mulaney, and Gillian Jacobs playing members of the extended Berzatto family.
Only Murders in the Building – Matthew Broderick
The third season of Only Murders in the Building took us straight to Broadway, and Matthew Broderick came very close to stealing Charles’ role in Oliver’s play Death Rattle Dazzle.
Reservation Dogs – Ethan Hawke
Elora Danan went on quite an emotional journey in the final season of Reservation Dogs and even got to meet her dad—played by none other than the Oscar-nominee Ethan Hawke.
The Other Two – Lukas Gage
The final season of The Other Two featured several pretty fun cameos, but seeing Lukas Gage in the acclaimed episode “Cary & Brooke Go to an AIDS Play” was the icing on the cake.
Abbot Elementary – Ayo Edebiri & Taraji P. Henson
We’ve heard Janine Teagues mention her absent mother and younger sister on several occasions throughout Abbot Elementary, and they finally made an appearance in Season 2—with Taraji P. Henson and Ayo Edebiri playing them, no less!
