There’s something good coming your way, Transparent fans…

The series finale has premiered at LA Live’s Regal Theatre ahead of its September 27th release, and its star, Kathryn Hahn, has promised it will bring all the feels.

“When I was first told it was going to be a musical, I thought, ‘That’s the only way that this could possibly end’ — because there are no words,” she said. “I felt it only can be sung at this point. It’s a combo of bittersweet and joyful and moving.”

Creator Jill Soloway also lauded the concept of a musical following the drama that saw the show’s lead, Jeffrey Tambor, exit the production due to allegations of sexual harassment.

“I think because of all the chaos — and all of the ways in which our show had to re-examine who we were — having a musical gave us a new path forward, a new reason to be. This isn’t just like putting a button on the series,” she said. “It’s kind of like transitioning — twirling and flying into a new direction.”

The Pfeffeman clan will take their final bow on September 27th.
